Senator Ipalibo Harry Banigo has represented Nigeria at the 2026 Parliamentary Hearing held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

The hearing, themed Parliaments and the UN: Better Together, Delivering for the People, brought together lawmakers from across the world to discuss how national parliaments can work more closely with the United Nations to address global challenges.

Discussions focused on the role of legislatures in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ensuring that international agreements translate into practical benefits for citizens at home.
