Lawmakers Pay Final Respects to Peter Nwaoboshi in Ibusa
Senator Ned Nwoko and former Senate President Ahmed Lawan on Saturday led a delegation of current and former lawmakers to Ibusa, Delta State, for the funeral of former Senator Peter Nwaoboshi.

Lawmakers from across the country gathered in Ibusa, Delta North, to honour the late Peter Nwaoboshi, who represented Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
The delegation was led by Senator Ned Nwoko and former Senate President Ahmed Lawan. They were joined by other serving and former members of the National Assembly who came to pay their last respects.

The funeral drew political leaders and community members from across the Anioma area, reflecting the late senator’s influence in Delta North and beyond. Speakers at the ceremony described him as a committed representative who worked to advance the interests of his constituency during his time in the Senate.
Many noted that his passing marks the end of an important chapter in the political history of the district he served for years.
