REPS MOVES MOTION TO ASSIST VICTIMS OF FIRE DISASTER IN JIGAWA STATE.

A village in dutse local government area in jigawa state experienced a fire disaster which took place early this January 2018 in Abandri. The village has a population of over two hundred thousand inhabitants, mainly famers who have been displaced by fire and are left with no farm produce nor food to eat. This has left the farmers devastated with the worries of if they will be able to continue farming without urgent solution provided to ameliorate their sufferings. The House of Representatives said that relief materials should be made available for the displaced people who have lost their homes and farm produce . it resolved that the National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) should provide the relief materials for the affected community with immediate effect .
