Osun State House of Assembly Passes Local Government and State High Court Amendment Bills.

The house of Assembly during a Plenary session on Monday 25th of March 2019 passed Local Government and state high court amendment bills into law .

The Nigeria Assembly News reported that Osun State House commences the local Government amendment act and also inspected the propose secretariat at Idi Odan. The amendment bill passed allows the creation of new LCDA out of the existing Ifedayo local government.

The purpose of the New LCDA creation is to allow direct access to the government and allow effective administration at the grassroots

The House of Assembly also passed the State High court Amendment . The Executive sponsored bill give nod to the chief judge of the state Justice Adepele Ojo to increase the number of judges from twenty (20) to (40) among other benefits associated with it for administrative improvement that will hasten the dispensation of Justice . Other benefits from bill includes productive and less stressful Judiciary and more capable hands will give the state opportunity to have equal number of judges like other states of the federation by meeting Federal Character Commission demands as stipulated in the constitution.
