Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume has distanced himself from the ongoing leadership arrangements among newly elected councillors in Gwoza Local Government Area, saying he is not involved in the process.

In a statement issued by his office, the senator said he has maintained a neutral position on the selection of local government leadership in Gwoza, including developments within his hometown.

The statement explained that despite his standing in Borno State politics, Ndume has chosen not to interfere in local decision making, allowing established party structures and democratic procedures to guide the outcome.

His office also reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and support for the administration of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, as well as the party’s leadership at both the state and national levels.

It further clarified that the senator is neither backing nor opposing any individual in the ongoing process, stressing that decisions on local leadership rest solely with party members and the affected communities.
