The lawmakers issued the threat on Thursday morning 13th December, 2018 at the plenary after the Speaker Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara read a letter from the President requesting to present the budget before the National Assembly on 19th December.
The Presidents letter read, ” May I crave the kind indulgence of the House of Representative to formally present the 2019 budget before the joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, December 19th ,2018 ,”
Recall that the Minister for Budget and National Planning, Udo Udoma , was quoted on the 12th December, 2018 saying that members of the house of National Assembly were behind the delay in the presentation of the 2019 budget.
