Tinubu Approves Posting of 65 Ambassadors to Nigerian Missions Worldwide

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the posting of 65 ambassadors designate to Nigerian diplomatic missions across the world, including the United Nations.

The postings include 31 non career ambassadors and 34 career ambassadors, whose nominations were confirmed by the Nigerian Senate in December last year.

The appointments are part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic presence and advance the country’s foreign policy interests globally.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already received agreement from the United Kingdom for Ambassador designate Aminu Dalhatu as Nigeria’s High Commissioner. France has also granted agreement for Ambassador Ayodele Oke.

According to the presidency, requests for agreement have been sent to the remaining host countries in line with diplomatic protocol.

President Tinubu has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Nigeria) to immediately begin the induction programme for the ambassadors designate and high commissioners before they assume duty at their respective missions.
