In response to the allegations made by Members of the House of Representatives from Oyo state over alleged threat to their lives by their colleagues with Governor Ajimobi.
Hon. Saheed Fijabi has debunk the information while talking to our correspondent on phone. Hon. Saheed Fijabi made it known in an interview with our correspondent on phone that he is the closest ally of the Federal lawmakers and could not have attacked anyone. Although it was true that thugs invaded the venue of the stakeholders meeting but everyone scamper for safety including myself and Lam Adeshina Adedapo who was even rescued in the Governors car.
The lawmakers, members of the Unity Forum of the Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC) loyal to Communication Minister, Adebayo Shittu, disclosed that they were molested by thugs brought by Hon. Fijabi right in front of the state governor.
Lam-Adesina, who represents Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, said, “Our group was punctual at the stakeholders ’ meeting on Saturday but while we were waiting for the event to start , there were sporadic gunshots and broken bottles thrown into the hall.
He accused Hon. Fijabi and his Father who is a very high chief in Ibadan to have mastermind and led the thugs to the venue . We ran to the state Police Command in Eleiyele, he said.
Hon Saheed Fijabi representing Ibadan South West/Ibadan North West said ‘everybody knows that security is an issue this days’ i cannot attack my friends because of what. May be because of my closeness with the Governor. No one should stain my integrity. I am the only Honourable that walks around without security. i am free with everybody even in Abuja. This is not the best way to settle scores, even if any one has grudge against me, Fijabi said.
The Congress has since been held without trouble.
