The Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim was three times Governor of Yobe and now three times as a Senator in National Assembly is launching a book titled ‘poorlitics’.
The publisher, Sam Egwu while address the press at the press conference said the Senator should be emulated in the political terrain. He said, the Senator fondly called the diamond in the desert serve the people at the grassroot, won their heart and contested with less than 27,000 only against the mights of billionaires in the same, and won. As a commissioner of works back then, he uses direct labour to execute projects and pay by hand, for that reason the people wanted such person to rule them against all odds.
Bukar speaking on 2018 budget during the press brief said the president doesn’t have to implement all the things inserted inside the budget. 50% performances of the budget is a pass mark, he said.
On 2019: Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrah who is now 69 years old is still interested in coming back for the 4th time in the Senate. He said,’i would have love to contest for the President but because of the respect k have for Buhari, i withdrew with Sen. Yerima, i may still go back to my presidential ambition later if my health permits.
‘POORLITICS’ as the book is called, is to be launched on 23rd of July,2018 at Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Abuja. The proceeds from the book launch will go to IDPs and orphanages.
