SENATE REACTS TO KILLINGS ACROSS THE COUNTRY, OBSERVES ONE MINUTE SILENCE FOR VICTIMS IN TARABA

The Senate on Wednesday observed a one minute silence for the victims of Fulani herdsmen killings in Taraba during plenary. The Senators reacting to the killings across the country condemned the act and requested for a fast action by the Security Agents. Senator Emmanuel Bwacha from Taraba South said the killings across the country lacks adequate attention before now because it was only Christians that were targeted. But presently, both Christians and Muslims are killed massively. He beseeched his Collegues to rise up to challenge the killings if not it might reach anyone soon.
The Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu revealed how Investors have stopped coming to the country due to insecurity. He revealed how he was out of the country recently to invite some Investors but was turned down totally due to insecurity. He then called for a security summit to constitute different Security Agents for a lasting solution to insecurity in the country.
Senator Ben Bruce also called for a quick action on the insecurity situations saying since Nigeria Independent there has not been insecurity as bad as the present one. Senator Ben Bruce made reference to Senator Bukar Marafa call for Intervention in Zamfara Central where the killers walks around the state freely without anyone challenging them.
