REPS MOVED TO RESCUE THE STUDENTS OF DAPCHI
At the plenary on Tuesday, members of the House of Representatives moved motion for the urgent need to rescue the students of government girls college Dapchi in yobe state.
The members of the House of Representatives has mandated it’s Ad-hoc committee to investigate the issues and report back to the House.
This motion was brought under matters of urgent importance. The adoption of the school girls happened on the 19th February 2018 at evening time, Hon. Goni Bukai Lawal expressed. Some members of the boko haram troops in an attempt to escape the military onslaught against them in what was describe as operation dip-flush Inside the terrorist enclave in sambisa Forest, invaded Busari local government in Yobe State and abducted one hundred and ten students(110) in Government girls Technical College.
He also said that it is not the first time that terrible and callous incident like this will happen. He gave instance of 2014 where 58 students of College of Agriculture Buni yadi in yobe state were killed in cold blood in their deep sleep.
Hon Abdul sani in his debate said that it is an embarrassment to the country where boko haram has been said to be defeated to be faced with this kind of situation. He further said that there are sabotua within and around the system for this to happen a week after the military were deployed from that area.
Hon Nnana said that it is exact four years after the adoption of the Chibok girls and here is another occurrence of the same incident. She also said that this insurgency is not Nigeria insurgency but a cross border insurgency. She therefore urge that the security in the country should be taken very serious.
