Senator representing Plateau South, Simon Bako Lalong, has congratulated the newly elected leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, led by Chairman Rufus Bature, following the party’s recent state congress.

The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Simon Bako Lalong, has congratulated the newly elected leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State.

In a message released after the party’s state congress, Lalong congratulated Rufus Bature on his re-election as the state chairman, along with other returning officials and members of the State Executive Committee.

He said their emergence reflects the confidence party members have in their leadership and urged them to remain committed to strengthening the party in the state.

The senator also praised APC members across Plateau for conducting the process peacefully and reaching consensus without major disagreements. According to him, the unity shown by party stakeholders is encouraging for the stability and future of the party in the state.

Lalong further noted that the smooth conduct of the exercise reflects the direction of the party under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which he said has helped maintain cohesion within the APC.

He also commended the national leadership of the party under Nentawe Yilwatda, saying their guidance has continued to strengthen the party’s internal structure.

The senator urged the new state leadership to remain inclusive, work with all party members and focus on building on the party’s progress ahead of future political activities.

He also reaffirmed his support for the party at all levels, expressing confidence that the APC will continue to grow stronger in Plateau State.
