Emeka Chinedu Martins hails from Umueze Village in Oboma Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government of Imo State. Born to the humble family of Chief Chinedu Onwuekweikpe (Omeudo 1 of Oboama & Lolo Patrica Chinedu both of blessed memory).
He attended 5th Avenue Primary School Festac town, Lagos. Then Kuje Secondary School Agboju Lagos.
He graduated from the prestigious Lagos State University (LASU), where he obtained a Bachelors degree B.A Horns in English Language and Master’s Degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies (MIRSS) earned from the same university.
Emeka Chinedu Martins, an Accomplished Entrepreneur and humanitarian with interest in the Oil and Gas sector and Real Estate Business since 1996. His company an independent petroleum marketer (IPMANJ) is involved in the sales and distribution of petroleum products across Nigeria and owns petrol fillings stations in Lagos and Ogun states.
In the Real Estate business, he has made significant impact as a major player in the industry having piloted the company to an enviable height of a First Class Real Estate firm in Lagos and beyond.
A devoted Christian, a Catholic to be precise has played exemplary role to uplift his Local church the Queen of peace Catholic Church, Oboama Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government where he contributed greatly in the renovation of the church. He has always identified with Ahiara Diocese.
A philanthropist per excellence whose philanthropic gesture span a period of over 25 years has invested enormously on human capital development. In the area of education, he renovated the dilapidated classroom block at the community school Oboama Ezinihitte. To his credit Emeka Chinedu Foundation has empowered widows, the less privileged and youths to enhance their trade or start up a trade. The scholarship scheme has also assisted over 30 youths in their academic pursuit.
Emeka Chinedu “The man with a heart of Gold” and generosity has earned him several awards in and outside Nigeria with particular mention of African’s Uncommon Humanitarian Legacy Award”, which he is a recipient and many Awards received by corporate bodies and was recently awarded by the Nigerian Union of Teachers Ezinihitte Branch as “EDUCATION ICON OF THE YEAR”.
Happily married to Mrs.Titilayo Chinedu,he is blessed with 3 children.

Nassnews: May we know your Name?
Hon. Emeka Chinedu: My names are Hon. Emeka Chinedu Martins from Imo State Nigeria
Nassnews: How was growing up like and coming into politics?
Hon. Emeka Chinedu: I come from a polygamous home. I am the last born of my mum. I have about six siblings and we are all devoted Christians, a catholic for that matter. Growing up was fine, I attended my primary and secondary school in Lagos after which I became an entrepreneur. I was into oil and gas, real estate and during business I went home to help my parents and honestly speaking if anyone will say I will be a politician, I will not believe it. but here I am today as a politician, doing a philanthropic job to my people, giving scholarships, helping the needy and sending some of my community people abroad. Today thgrough my position I have been able to do more.
Nassnews: What instigated this motion you presented on the floor?
Hon. Emeka Chinedu: In Nigeria we have one fundamental problem which is unemployment. You see many graduates year in, year out, they are many but no employments. Recently, there are lots going on in the country ranging from banditry, kidnapping, cybercrime and more, those negative vices are caused as a result of unemployment. So I thought it wise to curb this unemployment issues which led to the idea of the motion and it will be a solution to unemployment in Nigeria if the Federal Government can establish industries in the 360 Federal Constituencies we have in Nigeria taking into cognizance the need assessment of the country.
Nassnews: What is the short and long term benefits for your people and Nigerians at large?
Hon. Emeka Chinedu: it will contribute meaningful developments. That is why I am here at the house of representatives so that whatever impact I am making will affect my people and Nigerians at large.
Nassnews: What have you been able to achieve in terms of health care in your constituency?
Hon. Emeka Chinedu: Healthcare and Education has been one of my core interest in whatever I do. I have embarked on massive construction of health care centers in most communities in my constituency. I have also embarked on massive construction of class rooms blocks and improved the standard of education for my people. so far my people are with me for what I am doing and last December, based on myt infrastructural projects I have done, my people have nicknamed me Mr. Project. I have 24 wards remaining just 2 wards and very soon I will circulate the projects this year.
Nassnews: Let’s look at your achievements last year?
Hon. Emeka Chinedu: Last year I move a motion on abolishment of acceptance fee in tertiary institutions. I got calls from all the tertiary institutions and students as a welcome development. I believe if well implemented it will assist to helping youths get admission without stress.
