Bello’s re-election made easy by his performance – Senator Oseni

The sterling performance of Governor Yahaya Bello-led New Direction administration in less than four years in Kogi State has been viewed as the magic wand for his re-election in the forthcoming November 16th gubernatorial election.
This assurance was given recently in Lokoja by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and Communication Technology/Cybercrime, Senator Yakubu Oseni while reacting to the crowd that thronged the venue of the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign in Idah.
It would be recalled that Governor Yahaya Bello was recently at the Igala traditional headquarters, Idah where he commissioned several projects at the College of Health Technology and was conferred with the title of ‘Oga-Onu-Ogwu-Atta’ by Atta of Igala, His Royal Majesty, Ameh Oboni.
The lawmaker who unreservedly eulogised the Igala people of Kogi East Senatorial district and particularly the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward David Onoja for promoting politics of inclusiveness, revealed that Kogi people are more united and committed to APC and its candidate because of its ability to place development of the state above personal or family interest which was foisted on the people by the decapacitated old political order.
“Kogi State has grown beyond unnecessary consideration of factors like religion, ethnic and family connections in the choice of who to govern them. The paradigm has now shifted to leaders that are credible, focused, prudent and development-driven which Governor Yahaya Bello has demonstrated in less than four years in office.
“You can now see that his reelection has been simplified with the wave of endorsements sweeping across the three senatorial districts and patriotic state leaders that have risen to ensure consolidation of his achievements,” he said.
Senator Oseni while listing the multi-million naira Omi Rice Mill, suppressed insecurity, strategic infrastructural and human capital development as some of the achievements of the administration, expressed delight that issue of salary payment which was the only campaign slogan of the opponents has been solved permanently.
