Senator representing kogi central, Yakubu Oseni has declared that empowering youths and the women of kogi state is his target and responsibility as their representative in the Federal Level.
Yakubu made this declaration on Monday in an interview with NASSNEWS at his personal office in Wuse zone 6 during the inauguration of his team members.
Yakubu explained that the security challenge facing the country is as a result of unemployment of the youths which is in a very high level.
He further explained that empowering and engaging the youths and women of this country is the only means insecurity can be drastically minimized and gradually die off.
He stated that “we are assuring them that this 9th assembly is purely going to be different from others because we are going to do something different, so definitely we are going to achieve a different result.
“insecurity can be drastically minimized by the way of engaging our youths because they are majorly involved, hardly will see an elderly person involved in such act.
“I want to assist the youths and women by way of empowering them through job creation, most women are market women, there are some who do business with ordinary 10thousand naira, we can increase their businesses.
“if you come to me for help, the only thing I can do for you is to empower you, so if you love your people, you must have the compendium of their immediate needs”.
He therefore advised the people to be patient with his government and be looking up to them, adding that they are going to represent very well and basically work as a team to achieve results.
Meanwhile, talking about project, he explained that the 9th assembly just started and they are planning to embark on project by next year.
