IRREGULARITIES MARE ELECTION, REPORT FROM GENERAL SUPPORTERS AND COORDINATORS OF SEVERAL ASPIRANTS IN THE JUST CONCLUDED HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PRIMARIES AMAC/BWARI 2019

The aggrieved supporters and coordinators of several aspirants from the primaries conducted in Amac/Bwari area of Abuja have exposed irregularities in the activity.

This report was given from independent observers and coordinators of all the wards of AMAC/BWARI Federal Constituency on event(s) that happened at each polling ward on the primaries exercise which took place on the 6th of October, 2018.
BWARI AREA COUNCIL
1. BWARI CENTRAL WARD
Coordinator of Bwari Central Ward reported that there was no election at the ward and the results were handwritten. The first handwritten result was rejected at the INEC office in Bwari, they further went to meet him and asked him to sign to a new written result with less figures as against the first result. Our Coordinator did not sign to this arrangement.
2. BIAGI WARD
Coordinator of Biagi Ward stated that no election took place at Biagi ward due to violence that erupted. Our Aspirant posters were torn off
3. USMAN WARD
Coordinator for Usman ward confirmed that there was no election at Usman Ward
4. USHAFA WARD, the Coordinator reported that election took place at the ward and one aspirant amassed the total sum of 810 people, but counting was not completed and they eventually wrote down results.
5. SHERE WARD
Coordinator of Shere ward stated that an aspirant recorded 81 votes as the election was ongoing but the exercise was later disrupted due to violence.
6. IGU WARD
There was no election held in IGU ward as reported by the coordinator
7. KAWU WARD
There was no election in Kawu ward as the results were written as reported by the coordinator
8. KUDURU WARD
The Coordinator reported that there was no election in Kuduru due to erupted violence. Any result pronounced were written.
9. KUBWA WARD
The Coordinator in Kubwa reported that election took place at the ward with Hon Ali Dogo having 931 votes and Hon Simi Fajemirokun in second place recorded 500 votes.
10. DUTSE WARD
No election was held at the ward because of violence as stated by the coordinator for
ABUJA MUNICIPAL AREA COUNCIL (AMAC)
1. WUSE WARD
The Coordinator reported that no election took place at wuse ward due to violent attacks which left one of the S.A’s to the AMAC Chairman seriously beaten and injured. Reports stands that there were no results from wuse ward.
2. CITY CENTRE
The Coordinator stated that voters came out to vote and were quite orderly. They waited patiently waiting for INEC Officials but none came. When it was getting dark the voters started leaving the centre gradually and no results was announced at the Collation Centre.
3. NYANYA & KARU
The Coordinator confirmed that as elections where about to start and the voters waiting patiently on their queue. The officials conducting the exercise were threatened and therefore had to leave the premises immediately. As at 10pm at the Collation Centre, there were no results from Nyanya & Karu wards.
4. OROZO WARD
Elections did not hold at this ward as reported by our coordinator
5. KABUSA WARD stated that one of the youngest aspirants was the first to be counted and had a total vote of 137 votes. In the process of counting the others, the exercise was disrupted and the whole process was not concluded. Hence no valid result sheet was produced in the presence of the electorate and any result submitted is invalid.
However, the aspirant got the longest line which amounted to the 137 votes that was counted. The other aspirants lines were not close enough to her’s.
6. GWAGWA WARD
Elections did not hold at this ward as confirmed by our coordinator
7. GUI WARD
Elections did not hold at this ward due to violence eruption as reported by our coordinator
8. JIWA WARD
Election did not take place at this ward due to disruptions by thugs as reported by our coordinator
9. GARKI WARD
Election did not take place at this ward as confirmed by our Coordinator
10. GWARINPA WARD
Election held was a free and fair one. With every voter lining up under the aspirants they are willing to vote for
11. KARSHI WARD
Election did not take place at this ward due to disruptions by thugs. The officials called on all coordinators of each aspirant present and were writing down figures based on what was given to them by each coordinator.
Our independent observers hereby conclude the the election is not free and fair, mared with irregularities and should be ready conducted.
