NASSNEWS
OFFA: The political temperature in Kwara South is rising as Queen Ambassador Ayoola Ronke Fakunle Olasode, APC aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives, intensifies consultations across Oyun, Offa, and Ifelodun Federal Constituency.
Framing her campaign on Experience. Compassion. Empowerment., Fakunle is positioning herself as “A Trusted Voice for the People” a slogan now visible on posters and banners across the three local government areas.

From Palace to Parliament
Known widely as “Queen Amb.”, Fakunle brings a blend of royal poise and grassroots credibility to the race. Supporters cite her years of humanitarian work, women focused empowerment programs, and youth skills initiatives as proof of capacity.
“I am not a stranger to our people’s pain,” Fakunle told NassNews during a town hall in Iyun “I have sat with our market women. I have seen our students trek miles to school. I am going to Abuja to ensure Oyun, Offa, and Ifelodun are not forgotten.”
The Fakunle Agenda
Her legislative blueprint rests on three pillars:
Education: Push for federal intervention in dilapidated schools and a scholarship scheme for indigent but brilliant students.
Empowerment: Micro credit and equipment support for artisans, traders, and young entrepreneurs.
Development: Lobby for rural road projects, improved healthcare access, and closer partnership with police at the grassroots to boost security of lives and property.
The campaign has secured early endorsement from party stakeholders, including Hon. Sheriff, indicating strong internal support ahead of the APC primaries.
A Different Kind of Politician
Political observers say Fakunle’s appeal cuts across age and gender. “She speaks the language of mothers, but understands the budget of the nation,” noted Alhaji Ganiyu, a community leader in Offa. “We need a representative who can enter any office in Abuja and still remember the road to Ojoku.”
Through her foundation, Fakunle has funded medical outreaches, widows’ support programs, and vocational training for over 500 youths in the last three years a record her team insists is “evidence, not promise.”

2027 In View With women and youth making up over 60% of registered voters in the constituency, analysts believe Fakunle’s candidacy could reshape the race.

For now, her message to the people remains direct: “I am not coming to be counted. I am coming to count for you.”
