The House of Representative has call on Nigerians to continue with their supports and offer prayers to the families of the fallen heroes
The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs and Honorable representing Gombi /Hong Federal constituency of Adamawa state, Hon Yusuf Buba made this call in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, as Nigeria marks the 2020 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
“to us what becomes of families left behind by these fallen heroes”.
“As our brothers’ keepers, we must learn to, sometimes, spare a thought, prayer and even support for the families of these people.
“For our collective safety, they gave up themselves, left their families; hence, government, no matter how benevolent, cannot do it all alone in terms of offering them the needed care and comfort of life,” he said.
Buba, who represents Gombi/ Hong Federal Constituency of Adamawa, however, congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai among others on the occasion of the remembrance day.
The lawmaker called on the government to, once again, respond to the several complaints and agitations for better welfare packages and service remuneration for families of the fallen heroes.
