NATIONAL ASSEMBLY WHAT IS YOUR STAND?.
The public is questioning the position of the Nigeria Senate and the House of Representatives over the raid on the Nigeria Peace Corps headquarters by the Nigeria police.
The Nigeria police on Wednesday raided Nigeria Peace Corps headquarter and arrested some officials.
The police explanation comes a day after the police, in a combined operation with the State Security Services and the Nigeria Army stormed the headquarters of the Nigeria Peace Corps in Abuja, arrested the commandant and other national leaders.
At least two people were comfirmed injured following the raid which occurred around 11.30pm 0n Tuesday night, witnesses said.
Mr Moshood said such action violated a 2013 gazette of the Federal Government that banned the group and ordered them to cease operations.
This latest occurrence came weeks after the Nigeria Senate and House of Representatives harmonised the
Nigeria Peace Corps bill to give the group which had operated as volunteer organization for 18 years, government backing.
