Hon. Peller Shower Accolades On Immigration For Averting Human Trafficking
The House of Representative Member Representing Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Hon. Shina Peller accolades on Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for promptly averting the human trafficking of nine girls at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport who were being trafficked to Lebanon, Cairo, Dubai and India.
The discovery of their trafficking was made possible due to some investigations and interrogations carried out by the operatives of the NIS which revealed that their journey was organised by some agents of human trafficking who took advantage of the girls’ innocence and ignorance.
Shina Peller in his tweet said “Human trafficking is evil; it is synonymous to slavery, and we all must collectively fight against it, whilst the government must bring to justice the brains behind it.
“This is also a challenge to us, as a government, to intensify our efforts in making our country conducive enough for all, especially the ordinary Nigerian, in terms of security, infrastructural development and economic growth”. Peller said.
Hon. Shina Peller believes human trafficking will be automatically reduced to a minimal level if not totally eliminated with this kind of achievement.
