Cleric asks Osun lawmakers to fulfil campaign promises

Prophet Elijah Roberts, the senior prophet of the Sacred C & S Church, Oke Iro Parish Ilesha, Osun, on Sunday, called on elected political office holder to fulfill all promises made doing their campaign, even if it would cost them their salaries.

Robert made the call doing the thanksgiving program organized by House of Assembly of Osun’s Speaker, Mr Timothy Owoeye, in honour of Gov. Gboyega Oyetola’s victory at the Supreme Court and the inauguration of the state’s 7th Assembly.

The prophet who extracted his thanksgiving message from the book of Romans 13 vs 1,also implored the people of state to join hands with the government of the day irrespective of their party affiliation.

He equally pleaded with the state lawmakers to give support to the governor and enact laws that would bring development and sustain the peace in the state.

The Speaker, Timothy Owoeye during his address, thanked God for His mercies and love upon him and his constituents, also appreciating the church and prophets for their prayers and supports.

He equally thanked his constituents and the people of Ijeshaland and promised that the Assembly would focus on people oriented laws during his leadership.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Benedict Alabi toed the line of the Speaker, thanking and appreciating the people of the state for voting the APC during the last elections, also calling for more support from them.

Lawmakers (past and present) of the House of Assembly of Osun, immediate past Osun Speaker, Najeem Saalam, Royal fathers and APC party members were present at the thanksgiving programme .
