Senator Adeola Joins Ogun State’s 50th Anniversary Celebration
Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on Tuesday joined leaders and elder statesmen at the Arcade, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, to mark the 50th anniversary of the creation of Ogun State.

Speaking on behalf of the Ogun State caucus in the Senate, Adeola highlighted the state’s rich history and its contributions to national development, noting that the anniversary offered an opportunity to reflect on past achievements and future aspirations.
The lawmaker added a light hearted moment to the celebration when he led guests in a golden jubilee song in honour of Ogun State’s five decades of growth and resilience.
The state banquet attracted several prominent personalities, including former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, former Governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Tunji Sarafa.
Also in attendance were former deputy governors and other notable sons and daughters of the state, as speakers at the event stressed the need for unity and a shared vision to drive Ogun State’s development in the years ahead.
The celebration, according to participants, not only recognised the state’s journey over the past 50 years but also reaffirmed the commitment of serving lawmakers to continue advancing the interests of Ogun State at the national level.
