He made the call during courtesy visits to key APC figures across Abia North, Central and South senatorial districts, aimed at strengthening party structures and improving coordination among stakeholders.
Kalu visited former Abia State Governor and ex-Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Senator John Bob Nwannunu, and APC chieftain Sir Marc Wabara. Discussions during the visits focused on party cohesion, collaboration and political stability.
According to the Deputy Speaker, President Tinubu has urged party leaders to set aside differences and work together to build a stronger party and nation. He described the period as an opportunity for reflection, reconciliation and renewed commitment.
Speaking on national politics, Kalu advised the Igbo to be more strategic in their political decisions, noting that meaningful political influence depends on building strong alliances. He said votes should be used wisely to secure inclusion and long-term benefits.

The Deputy Speaker also presented his two-year scorecard to party elders, inviting open assessment of his performance, which he described as a step toward accountability.
He urged party leaders to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections, expressing confidence that the APC in Abia State now has the capacity to win convincingly.
