Group commends Gbajabiamila for his Public Leadership Roles.

The 2023/2024 Ph.D Class of the Department of Public Administration and, Nasarawa State University has commended the Chief of Staff to the President and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila for his exemplary public ledearship roles.

This comment was made when the Research Group paid a study visit to his office.

They noted that their research has shown he is people centred given his past Legislative activities and current Ledership mentorship programme. And have come to share in his experiences having rose from the position of Minority Leader, to Majority Leader, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and now Chief of Staff To The President.

They recalled the pivotal roles he played in protecting Nigerians during attacks on Nigerians both in Ghana and South Africa. They commended him for Leading a Nigerian Parliamentary delegation to these countries to address the issues. “You also stopped the attack on Nigerians in China during the breakout of Covid-19”, the group noted.

Of particular interest is your sponsorship of the Student Loan Bill and we thank President Tinubu for signing that live changing Bill into Law.

All these have singled you out for our study as a “Public Leadership Icon” , the group said.

In response Rt.Hon Gbajabiamila thanked them for the visit and urged them to support the Government of President Ahmed Tinubu, and come out with Public Policy Research that will help the Government and enhance the wellbeing Nigerians.

The highlight of the visit was a presentation of A postion Paper on ” *Financial* *Autonomy* *of* *Local* *Governments* ; *Challenges* *and* *Recommendations* by the group.
