NTAC DG FELICITATES MUSLIMS ON EID EL-KABIR CELEBRATION
_Reinforces the Importance of Sacrifice to National Unity and Cohesion_

Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, Rt.Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakubu has called on all Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of sacrifice and total obedience to Allah (SWT) in order to attract His blessings and to live a life of happiness here on earth and in the hereafter.

He said the value of sacrifice was grossly essential in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious nation like Nigeria for peace and unity as well as its attendant national cohesion to endure, he urged the Muslim Ummah to use the occasion of this year’s Eid El-Kabir to pray for those things that make for a more unified and progressive Nigeria.

The NTAC boss and former federal lawmaker, who stated the above in a Sallah message to Nigerians today in Abuja, used the occasion to convey his heartfelt felicitations to all Muslims on the celebration.

While enjoining the Islamic faith to look beyond the festivities that mark this day to the true essence of the day, Rt.Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakubu said he was particularly intrigued to learn that the importance of sacrifice, which underscores today’s celebration, was central to all major religions of the world, including the African Traditional Religion (ATR).

“We should, therefore, leverage this reality to always place ourselves as selfless channels to the joy of others and the progress of mankind.

“Following from the above, the constant question for us thus becomes: ”What can I always give of myself to make the world a better place?”

“For some, it is their talent, skill or even speech. For others, it may be something different. But we all must contribute our own quota to making society better, to leave behind us a world that is better and more conducive to longevity, to peace and to global progress. That is the only way to leave our name on the lips of the world, “the NTAC DG emphasised.

Rt.Hon.Buba also used the occasion to, for himself, his family and on behalf of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, felicitate with President Tinubu, his lieutenants, State Governors as well as lawmakers, traditional and religious leaders and all Nigerians, on the occasion of today’s celebration.

While again urging all to show love and share with neighbours the joy of this period ,the DG also prayed that Allah accept the fast of Arafat and the prayers of the faithful all through this Holy Feast of Eid El-Kabir.
