NCC Sets 2026 Focus on Better Network Quality, Consumer Satisfaction

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has announced a renewed push to improve the quality of telecom services across the country in 2026, assuring consumers that noticeable progress will be made in their everyday network experience.
In a New Year message outlining the Commission’s priorities for the year, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida, said achieving better service delivery would require close cooperation among telecom operators, infrastructure providers, government agencies and security institutions.
He explained that the Commission would place strong emphasis on consumer feedback, continuous monitoring and regular engagement with stakeholders to guide regulatory decisions. According to him, the goal for 2026 is not just policy direction but real, measurable improvement in how Nigerians experience telecom services.
