The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, Mallam Shehu Mohammed, has warned motorists against violating traffic rules and regulations during the Easter celebration.

In his Easter message, Mallam Shehu Mohammed stated that unnecessary violations of traffic rules could lead to undesirable consequences.

He said that, to ensure a free and safe motoring environment for all road users during the Easter celebration, the Corps has deployed sufficient personnel and logistics to cover all major corridors and identified black spots across the country in special operations aimed at creating a safer and freer road environment during the period and beyond.

The FRSC Boss, therefore, appealed to road users to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and the volunteers mobilized for the exercise to ensure the success of the special Easter operations.

While wishing everyone a happy Easter celebration, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed commended the personnel of the FRSC and other security agencies involved in the special operations for their sacrifices and appealed for sustained collaboration beyond the festivities.

The Corps Marshal further called on members of the public to report any emergencies to the nearest FRSC office or patrol team, or call the toll-free emergency number: 122 for a prompt response.
