Umunze, a vibrant town in Orumba-South Local Government Area of Anambra State, is abuzz with activity as people from all walks of life converge to pay their last respects to the late Mrs. Chiatusiura Elizabeth Nnabuife, a revered matriarch and mother of Honourable Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, a prominent politician and member of the House of Representatives.

The wake, scheduled to hold on January 1, 2026, has attracted a galaxy of dignitaries, including government officials, politicians, traditional leaders, and stakeholders from various industries. The occasion is a testament to the strong bond and unity of the Umunze people, who have come together to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Mrs. Nnabuife.

Honourable Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, a proud daughter of Umunze and representative of Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, is beaming with pride as she receives condolences from well-wishers. Her strong political presence and dedication to public service have earned her the love and admiration of many, who have flocked to Umunze to show their support.

Among the dignitaries present at the wake are H.E: former deputy Governor of Anambra state and current secretary Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo worldwide Mr Emeka Sibeudu and entourage, Sir Micheal Eze- Lagos, Sir Micheal Ogbuefi- Abuja, Chike- orumba- south chairman, Barry Nwanchukwu Okeafor- USA, Chief Jekwu Iloka, Nmirinaezoroha-USA, Sir Engr Ezekiel Iheazor- President General Umunze, Engr Emeka Eze-Abuja, Sir Bigger Ibekwe CEO Rest Assured Hotel Umunze Anambra, Sir Obenze Umunze- USA, Boni Nwafor- USA, Chief Ogbuefi Moronto- USA,Barr Nwanchukwu Okafor- USA, Sir Promise Ezeukwu-USA, Egbeejiejeogu-Umunze, Ogbuefi Echijakanma, Emmy King- Chairman Umunze Progressive Union Abuja Branch, Willy Oranusi- Abuja, Ezenwa Chinemelu- Abuja, Sir Inno Nnabuife-Lagos, Promise Amebo(Decency), and other prominent politicians and traditional leaders.

The occasion is also an opportunity for the people of Umunze to showcase their rich cultural heritage and traditions. The town is known for its strong sense of community and unity, and the wake is a reflection of this.

The burial ceremony will take place on January 2, 2026, at Aladinma Primary School, Amuda Village, Umunze, and is expected to be a grand affair, with many dignitaries and well-wishers in attendance.
