Rt. Hon. Jonathan Gaza Gbewfi, the Labour Party Governorship Flagbearer for the 2027 Nasarawa State Governorship Election, alongside Hon. David Maiyaki Ashayi, Labour Party Flagbearer for Karu/Gitata State Constituency, today attended the funeral service of the late Hon. Manasseh Bako at ECWA Goodnews Church, Masaka.
The solemn ceremony brought together political leaders, government officials, traditional leaders, religious leaders, party stakeholders, and dignitaries from across Karu Local Government Area and different parts of Nasarawa State, all united in paying their final respects to a man remembered for his commitment to public service and community development.
Rt. Hon. Jonathan Gaza Gbewfi and Hon. David Maiyaki Ashayi joined the family, friends, and the entire community in celebrating the life and legacy of the late Hon. Manasseh Bako, describing him as a humble leader whose contributions to the growth of his people will not be forgotten.
Their presence underscored the Labour Party’s philosophy of compassionate, people-oriented leadership standing with the people not only during political campaigns but also in moments of grief and shared humanity. The occasion also provided an opportunity for leaders across party lines to interact, promote unity, and reaffirm their collective commitment to peace, development, and the progress of Karu Local Government and Nasarawa State.
Rt. Hon. Jonathan Gaza Gbewfi and Hon. David Maiyaki Ashayi prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and asked God to grant the bereaved family the strength, comfort, and grace to bear this great loss.
May the soul of Late Hon. Manasseh Bako continue to rest in perfect peace. Amen.
