The Nigeria Senate have confirmed appointment of Chairman and members of the Police Service Commission (PSC). The report was tendered to the Senate by the Chairman Committee on Police Affairs for confirmation after a thorough interrogation between the nominees and members of the committee. Senator Ibrahim Abu from Katsina, Chairman of the Committee on Police Affairs put forward that the Senate do consider the report of the committee on police affairs on the confirmation of the nomination of Musiliu Smith (Southwest) as Chairman, Justice Clara Ogunbiyi (North East) as full time commissioner, Lawal Bawa (AIG) (North West) as full time commissioner, Muhammad H.Najatu (North West) as memeber, Braimoh Austin (South South) as member, Barr. Rommy Mom(North Central) as member and Dr. Nkemka Jombo-Ofo (South East) as a member of the Police Service Commission (PSC) in compliance with the provisions of section 153(1)and 154(1) of the 1999 constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria(as amended).
