Oparaugo Urges Aggressive Investment in African Talent, Digital Infrastructure

Mr. Osita Oparaugo, a prominent Pan-African tech strategist and social impact leader widely known as “The Spirit of Africa,” has called on continental leaders, businesses, and youth to aggressively invest in human capital, innovation, and digital infrastructure to secure Africa place in the future global workforce.
Speaking on the continent rapidly evolving technology landscape, Oparaugo, a trained lawyer turned entrepreneur, noted that Africa must transition away from exporting raw materials and instead focus on long-term systems building, technology sovereignty, and ownership to achieve true economic transformation.
Driven by the philosophy that Africa represents a premier frontier for global innovation rather than a region dependent on external aid, Oparaugo has systematically built digital platforms designed to democratize education and amplify African narratives.
Osita initially gained continental recognition by founding Ogelle, Africa first user-generated video-sharing platform dedicated exclusively to African storytelling, before establishing GetBundi, an education technology company focused on STEM and digital literacy.
Through GetBundi, thousands of young Africans have received training in high-demand fields such as data analytics, cybersecurity, digital marketing, content creation, and video editing, effectively preparing them for the contemporary digital economy.
Central to his broader economic strategy is the structural inclusion of women and the global positioning of local tech professionals.
Under the GetBundi Education Foundation, Oparaugo launched TechSis, a grassroots digital empowerment initiative that has provided free, practical ICT skills training to over 5,000 African women globally to bridge the persistent digital gender gap and foster financial independence.
Additionally, as the founder of Doballi, a Dubai-based AI-powered recruitment platform, he continues to establish international employment pathways by connecting vetted African tech talents with global employers, reinforcing his stance that the continent ultimate rise will be driven entirely by domestic builders creating scalable solutions.
