NTAC Prepares 18 Volunteers for Deployment to Rwanda
The Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has conducted an orientation and briefing exercise for eighteen prospective volunteers selected for deployment to Catholic and Protestant universities in Rwanda.
The exercise, held at the NTAC Complex in Jabi, Abuja, was organised to adequately prepare the volunteers for their assignments and provide them with important information on their roles, responsibilities and expectations while in Rwanda.
Speaking during the exercise, NTAC officials emphasised the need for the volunteers to demonstrate professionalism, discipline and commitment as representatives of Nigeria in their respective host institutions.
The deployment is part of NTAC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s international cooperation through the sharing of professional expertise and human capacity with partner countries.
The eighteen volunteers are expected to contribute meaningfully to the academic and institutional development of their host universities while also promoting Nigeria’s goodwill and strengthening people-to-people relations between Nigeria and Rwanda.
The initiative further highlights the importance of the Technical Aid Corps programme as an instrument of development cooperation and international diplomacy.
