NTAC Holds Debriefing Exercise for 15 Returning Volunteers from Uganda
The Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) on Thursday, July 16, 2026, held a debriefing exercise for fifteen Nigerian volunteers who successfully completed their technical aid assignments in the Republic of Uganda.
The exercise, held at the NTAC Conference Room in Abuja, provided a platform for the returning volunteers to share their experiences, showcase their achievements, discuss challenges encountered during their service, and offer recommendations aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s Technical Aid Programme.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, who presided over the exercise, commended the volunteers for their dedication, patriotism, and exemplary representation of Nigeria while serving in Uganda.
He noted that the debriefing session was an essential component of the Corps’ post-assignment evaluation process, as it enables the agency to assess field experiences, identify best practices, and improve future volunteer deployments.
The Director-General reaffirmed NTAC’s commitment to promoting South-South cooperation through the deployment of skilled Nigerian professionals to partner countries, stressing that the programme continues to strengthen diplomatic ties while projecting Nigeria’s technical expertise and goodwill across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific.
The returning volunteers expressed appreciation to the Federal Government and the management of NTAC for the opportunity to serve, describing the assignment as rewarding and impactful. They also shared valuable insights and practical recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of future technical aid missions.
