NTAC DG Welcomes Home Volunteers After Successful Mission in The Gambia and Sierra Leone

The Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub, has praised Nigerian volunteers returning from The Gambia and Sierra Leone for their exemplary service and outstanding representation of the country.
Speaking during a reception and debriefing ceremony in Abuja on July 1, the DG described the volunteers as worthy ambassadors who strengthened Nigeria’s image through professionalism, technical expertise, and commitment to service. He noted that their contributions in education, healthcare, and other sectors further reinforced Nigeria’s soft-power diplomacy and bilateral relations with partner countries.

Yakub encouraged the volunteers to apply the knowledge and experience gained during their overseas assignments to Nigeria’s development, while assuring them of NTAC’s continued support. He also reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to deploying qualified Nigerian professionals to promote development
