The President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Thursday appointed Senator Victor Umeh as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity.
However, former Senate Leader, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, who returned to the Senate after his suspension, is yet to be appointed into any committee.
Ndume completed his suspension in November 2017.
Apart from Employment and Productivity Committee, Umeh was also appointed as member of Finance, Environment, Land and Housing, and Culture and Tourism Committees.
Umeh was sworn in as Senator from Anambra State on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
Before Ndume’s suspension, he was the Chairman of Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission.
The committee is currently under the chairmanship of Senator Nazif Suleiman, who is also the Chairman of Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity.
