The joint ad hoc committee of the National Assembly has resolved that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege should be suspended and prosecuted with immediate effect over his role in the theft of mace from the National Assembly.
Senator Omo-Agege, the senator representing Delta central, therefore faces suspension for 180 legislative days if and when the decision be implemented.
Recall that the Senator was immediately suspended for 180 legislative days but was stopped by the court after the embattled senator dragged the hallowed chamber to the court.
