IGP ABSENT AGAIN AS Security chiefs appear before Senate over arms proliferation

Again, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris, was represented at the Senate as the
Security chiefs on Wednesday appeared before the Senate over the proliferation of dangerous firearms and spate of killings by terrorists and hoodlums in Nigeria.

Their appearances followed a resolution last week by the Senate as a result of the mass killings across the country.

Heads of security agencies were seen at the chamber, as at the time of filing this report are those of Defense and the Department of State Services, DSS.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki ordered for an executive session immediately they entered into the chambers with the Clerk of the Senate.
