Iwajowa seeks another shot at House of Representatives

Barely seven months to the 2019 general election, constituents from Iwajowa Division of Oyo State Federal district have initiated political schemes to ensure that the division produces the next candidate to represent it at the green Chamber of the National Assembly.

This is coming on the heels of recent calls for balanced representation among the components of the Federal district, especially claim that while Iseyin axis have presented representatives for two terms each, Kajola/Iwajowa had not gotten one opportunity.

The nassnewsng.com gathered from sources that the issue currently unsettling the constituency, is the recent declaration of incumbent Hon. Olasupo from area, who is seeking a second term as a Federal Lawmaker at their own expense.

Youth of the area argue that Kajola/Iwajowa division, which has not served should be allowed to present the next House of Representative member for the sake of equity and fairness.

Stakeholders from Kajola/Iwajowa axis are united in their pleas to the APC leadership to be considered in 2019 for better representation.

They recalled
the incumbent, Olasupo, took over in 2015 which tenure is expected to expire in 2019.

Olasupo contested and won the House of Reps seat on the platform of All Progressive Alliance (APC) before defecting to the Social Democratic Party (SDP),

It is believed that one thing that might work against Olasupo’s re-election bid, aside the agitations by the Kajola/Iwajowa division, is the allegation of
low performance.

People of the Kajola/Iwajowa district claim that the lawmaker is not making the impact of his presence in the green Chamber felt having served for three years.

It must be against that background that four aspirants have already been penciled to take over from him.

They include, Primate Shina Pela, the son of the former billionaire magician.

He is also a Chieftain of The best club in lagos, Quinnox.

Alhaji Badmos Saliu, the Son of the party leader of APC in Kajola/Iwajowa, Hon. Olasupo present honourable in Federal House of Representatives seat since (2015), and a state Assembly member, Soji Olateru of
Kajola/Iwajowa.

Of all the aspirants, Alhaji Saliu Badmus, the son of APC party leader in Kajola/Iwajowa, appears to be a frontliner, despite the fact that he hasn’t indicate overt interest to go into full politics.

We shall carry him on our heads and walk from his house to the green Chamber in Abuja.

It’s not an easy thing for us to place our future and destiny in his hands. He must take this offer by force.”

“We cannot continue to let the “hyenas and jackals” decide our future.

We have chosen Saliu based on the simple fact that we are all convinced that he would perform excellently and deliver beautifully if he represents us at the green Chamber of NASS.”

To show seriousness for their clamour for the choice of Saliu and Kajola/Iwajowa division to clinch the House of Reps ticket, the youths have opened social media platforms to drum support for their mission.
